Mrs. Mary Pearl LONG, 63, died at 7:00 o'clock Sunday night. Her death was attributed to a stroke of paralysis. She was born Oct 2, 1877, four miles west of New Market. Mrs. Long was the daughter of George and Julia DOWDEN. She was married Aug 4, 1894 to Jacob Long at Montezuma, Indiana. Surviving in addition to the husband, are 7 children: Mrs. John Stevens; Mrs. Reed Morrow; George Long all of Crawfordsville; Mrs. Rose Mary Delano and Ora Long of Lafayette; Kathleen Stump of New Market and Russell Long at home; 3 brothers, Bert Dowden of Crawfordsville; Walter Dowden of Deere's Mill and Joe Dowden of Alamo; two sisters, Mrs. Josephine Scott of LaFayette and Mrs Lillie Keller of Meomence, Illinois and 13 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. The body was removed to Proffitt & Sons Parlors. Services in charge of Rev. John Servies conducted from the funeral home at 2:30 o'clock Tuesday afternoon with burial in Freedom Cemetery. -0 kbz
